A road block has gone outside Whipps Cross Hospital following reports of a chemical leak.
James Lane, Leytonstone, has been shut to traffic in both directions between Whipps Cross Road and Peterborough Road as London Fire Brigade investigates the situation.
LFB has tweeted that the leak is from a construction site.
Bus routes W12, W15 and W19 are being diverted.
