Visitors to the Royal Gunpowder Mills in Waltham Abbey will be transported back to the 1940’s as part of VE Day celebrations.
The historic site, which played a key role in the Second World War, will be celebrating across the May Bank Holiday weekend with street parties, air-raid shelters, jive dancing and battle re-enactments.
There will also be a chance to see vintage Hurricane and Spitfire aircraft flying on Sunday and Monday.
The event runs from May 3 to 5 and is open from 10am to 5pm.
