A library in Leytonstone will celebrate its first birthday next month by holding a free community celebration.
 

Harrow Green Library will host the event on May 9 between 5.30pm to 8pm at the Epicentre on West Street.
 

Guests performing will include award-winning poet and comedian John Hegley and the professional dancer from Leytonstone Theo Oloyade, who appeared on Sky TV’s Got to Dance.
 

The volunteer-ran library will be offering light refreshments and tours of the building. Admission to the event is free.
