Members of a social group celebrated Sierra Leone's independence on Saturday.

Sierra Ladies celebrated 53 years since over 150 years of British rule ended in the African state at Orchard Community Hall, Broadmead Road, Woodford Green.

They performed traditional music and enjoyed cuisine from the region.
