Police in Waltham Forest have released a CCTV image of a suspected attacker.

The woman is wanted in connection with grevious bodily harm following a suspected shoplifting incident in Pretoria Avenue, Walthamston, on April 11 at 4:30pm.

A member of staff was hit on the head with a wooden pole after attempting to stop a group of suspected shoplifters, and a second staff member sustained a cut to his nose.

The store worker hit with a pole was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital as a precaution.

The CCTV image has been released to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.
