Hundreds of late night commuters are facing disruption due to strike action and planned engineering works.

As of 9pm yesterday, members of the RMT Union walked out of work for 48 hours over a row with the government over plans to close Tube station ticket offices, which will lead to the loss of up to 960 jobs.

The Greater Anglia service from Chingford to Liverpool Street is not directly affected by the strike action, but services are heavily relied upon by Tube passengers seeking alternative routes to the disrupted Victoria and Central lines.

However, due to planned maintenance works on the tracks, which have been scheduled for some time, there will no service on the Overground line every night from 11pm until Friday.

Buses will replace trains from either end of the line. The last bus from Chingford to Liverpool Street is 10:55pm and from Liverpool Street to Chingford is 23:03pm.
