A West Ham supporter was jailed for eight weeks for assaulting and threatening a grandfather on a train.
Raymond West, 49, of Chigwell Road, Woodford Green, was sentenced at Basildon Magistrates Court on Friday.
He threatened at attacked 70-year-old George Douglas on a Southend Victoria to Shenfield service on August 23 last year.
West denied both charges at a hearing in December but he admitted using threatening language with intent to cause fear and provoke unlawful violence.
Police later issued a public appeal showing a CCTV image of West wearing a West Ham United shirt.
