The driver of a van which struck a pensioner last year has been bailed after appearing in court today.
Josh Benjamin, 22 of Southern Drive, Loughton, is charged with causing death by dangerous driver after his white Ford Transit collided with Emelie Buckner in Oakwood Hill, Loughton, at around 7.30am on October 10.
The 78-year-old was walking her dog at the time she was hit and died at the scene.
Mr Benjamin will return to Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on May 7 to enter a plea.
