A collision between four vehicles has caused part of the A406 to come to a standstill this morning.

All lanes eastbound on the North Circular between Waterworks Works roundabout the M11 junction four were closed before 9am following a four-car pile-up.

The vehicles and debris and oil spills from the collision meant traffic was queueing back to Cooks Ferry Interchange past the Crooked Billet Roundabout in Walthamstow.

Lanes one and two re-openend an hour ago but three and four remain closed.

Kirsty is right, speed tables/sleeping policemen, are what is needed, or speed traps: take your pick for the most logical to suit the area.
