Labour leader Ed Miliband will launch his party's local and European election campaign today in Redbridge.

His is due to outline Labour's case during a speech beginning at 11.30am at the Redbridge Sport and Leisure Centre in Forest Road, Barkingside.

Speaking this morning, Labour's council group leader, Jas Athwal, said: "We are delighted to welcome Ed here and it is an exciting prospect for him to chose this borough. He has chosen it as we are confident of winning the election here.

"Redbridge has never been completely Labour so Ed is looking to launch the local elections campaign in a key area.

"Redbridge is very diverse and represents modern Britain, so it is a fantastic place to start the campaign."

Redbridge council has been a coalition of Liberal Democrats and Conservatives for eight years and the local and European elections start on May 22.

How can you trust a bloke who shafts his own brother?

When will he step down and let David come in from the cold.

When will you let Cornbeefur back in from the cold - and start droning on again about the green-toothed lefties on the Orford Road?

'"Redbridge is very diverse and represents modern Britain..'
What does this mean? Are areas of Britain invalid in Labour's eyes unless they are 'diverse? (As if after centuries of invasion and migration anywhere isn't)
Can the un-'diverse' areas perhaps not be trusted to vote Labour?
Does Labour have a plan to fix this regrettable backwardness?

And the darleks.

I really miss Cornbeefur. Villagecranberry is just too stupid to be a proper replacement. Needs to up his game.

Sickmanny, your comments generally give readers an insight into how shallow you are.

It might even be INTRIGUING. Always a bad idea to use words you can't spell.

Concentrate on the answer rather than the hair splitting Mozza, we all know your dark secrets.

The UK is in the business of managing decline. Both the Conservative and Labour are committed to ‘growth’ based on the wholesale import of cheap labour and paupers from all corners of the world. Hence the endless, orchestrated messages about ‘diversity’. In terms of the policies that are necessary to bring about such ‘diversity’, I am convinced that you couldn’t put a cigarette paper between the two main parties. The Tories need ‘diversity’ to keep themselves in the money. Labour needs ‘diversity’ to keep themselves in power. Neither parties gives a **** about much else: however, I despise Labour more for pretending that they care. In fact these days, the left gives me the creeps more than the right.
