The case of a man facing charges of beating and threatening a woman has been dismissed due to no evidence being offered.

Bradley Higgins, 27, of Honey Lane in Waltham Abbey, was accused of assaulting Justine Courtney and causing criminal damage to the walls and a window of her flat in December.

He was also charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards Ms Courtney with the intent to cause her to believe unlawful violence would be used against her.

The case was heard at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
