A teenage boy who disappeared more than a week ago has returned home, his cousin has confirmed.

Danyal Arain, 13, from Leyton, went missing on April 23 and was last seen in the Queens Road area of Walthamstow.

Last night the Kelmscott School pupil's cousin, Sameera Anaam, confirmed on Facebook his safe return yesterday.

She posted: 'Thank you everyone in all your support for my family... I can tell you Danyal Arain is at home and safe.

"I can't believe how many people were kind enough to help or post he's pic on their Facebook."

Glad to hear he is safe and well, but hope that if he went missing without good cause that the authorities give him a right telling off for the time wasted on the search for him.
