One of two victims of a double stabbing last night was looking after a young child when he was attacked, according to a shopkeeper.

Shortly before 8.30pm last night an eastern European man stumbled into Savers Ltd, in Leyton High Road, bleeding and asking for help.

Deb Das, who works in the shop, said his colleague called police and sheltered the man and the toddler as they waited for help.

He said: “He fell over in the doorway, his hand was covered in blood.

“I think he was seeking refuge because he asked Rafeeq, who was working at the time, to call the police. He wanted some kind of security.

“All the man who was working could see was blood all over his palm. He had a little child with him.

From what I have been told I think his hand was sliced.”

According to Mr Das, the man was very distressed.

“The child was not hurt. None of us saw what happened, I think it happened at the bus stop,” He added.

“The police arrived very quickly and the man did not say what had happened. I do not think that he was seriously injured.”

Police have confirmed that two men in their 30s were taken to hospital following the incident last night shortly after 8.30pm.

London Ambulance Service said that one man was treated as a ‘priority’ and the other was taken in as a precaution.

No arrests have been made.

Surely by now, we are all used to stabbings and muggings around here?

There is no deterrent, no one wants stop and search, the media and liberals just make excuses for the criminals. so what do we expect to happen.......?

Stuff the victims eh!

G_Whiz, yawn - as if there is any even vaguely sane person within a 200 mile radius of Leyton who doesn't want the scrote that did this caught and stopped.

People don't want stop and search cos not only did it not work, it also turned out to have a load of massively unwanted side effects about making black kids feel like everyone hated them.

The "media and liberals" like me (yup, I am actually both at once) tend to view prison recidivism rates as a good sign that just banging people up doesn't work well either.

So, your proposed solution (other than just mithering on on web forums about a vaguely defined and rather spurious bunch of people who spend their time wandering around making excuses for criminals) is... what exactly? Cut their hands off? Hang 'em high? Lock 'em up for ever? Cos every country that's tried those methods tends to have loads of problems as a result.

You are dead right, people walk around with their head in the sand or as Cornbeefers once said, 'they go around wearing Cranberry tinted glasses' because they are more concerned about the effect this negativity will have on their upward spiralling house prices.

Police have abandoned the streets to be ruled by the Ferals and people like Sickmanny think this is a great idea. When you have opinion like his being bantered about, one should consider leaving town as it can only get worse.

Oh, let's not forget.....Police proclaim, crime is falling.

Well there are only two blatant lies in that one, not up to your usual standards.

Love the cranberry bit though.
