The owner of a coach hire company prosecuted in March for violating planning rules is appealing against another council decision.

Guiseppe Ricotta has appealed against Epping Forest District’s refusal to grant him permission to station eight mobile homes on his land at Tylers Cross Nursery in Epping Road, Roydon.

The council became aware of the caravans last year at the Logic Travel site and the outcome of the appeal is not expected for several months.

Mr Ricotta was fined £2,000 after he failed to remove a hard surface for parking vehicles from green belt land.

He built hard standing on his land at Ricotta Transport Yard in Epping Road, Nazeing, without planning permission and in 2012 Epping Forest District Council refused to approve the development retrospectively.
