A spree of overnight car vandalism is ongoing after more than a month.

The bodywork of nine cars has been heavily scratched in streets surrounding Jessel Green in Loughton between April 1 and Saturday.

The damage has cost car owners £5,000 in total.

The paintwork of two Mercedes C220s, an Audi A3, a VW Golf, a VW Polo, a VW Tourag, a Vauxhall Astra, a Vauxhall Corsa and a Nissan Micra were all scratched along one entire side of each vehicle.

Investigating Officer, Pc Danielle Brennan, said: "Each act of criminal damage was carried out overnight

“There is no pattern or any particular type of car which has been damaged."

Anyone with information can contact neighbourhood police on 101.

I live in the Walthamstow area and my car was also scratched across all three panels on the drivers side about 2 months ago! I did not think to report it, it's so upsetting knowing it's been done maliciously & I have to pay extortionate amounts of money to get it fixed.
