A woman has been taken to hospital this morning after being hit by a car.
The 42-year-old pedestrian was injured in the collision in Kings Head Hill, Chingford, at around 7am.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 7:15am following reports of a road traffic collision.
The woman's neck was strapped by paramedics and she has been taken to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel with head and leg injuries.
Her condition is described as 'serious'.
Kings Head Hill is partially blocked between The Ridgeway and Woodland Road.
There is currently no access to The Ridgeway and the 97 bus is being diverted.
