An appeal has been launched for witnesses after two women were attacked on the bank holiday weekend.
Two 23-year-old women had been out for the night when they were attacked without provocation after getting off the train at Walthamstow Central on Sunday.
A group of six youths, described as Asian and including one woman, approached the women at just before 1am in High Street, just before the junction with Pretoria Avenue.
The exact details of the attack remain unclear, but both women sustained head injuries.
One of the victims was bleeding quite heavily from the head and was taken to hospital and discharged the next day.
The suspects are said to be between 16 and 17.
