An appeal has been launched for witnesses after two women were attacked on the bank holiday weekend.

Two 23-year-old women had been out for the night when they were attacked without provocation after getting off the train at Walthamstow Central on Sunday.

A group of six youths, described as Asian and including one woman, approached the women at just before 1am in High Street, just before the junction with Pretoria Avenue.

The exact details of the attack remain unclear, but both women sustained head injuries.

One of the victims was bleeding quite heavily from the head and was taken to hospital and discharged the next day.

The suspects are said to be between 16 and 17.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact DC Wilmer at Waltham Forest CID on 020 3276 0971.

Alternatively, to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Will this be classed as a racist attack I wonder or brushed over as a non-crime.

The article does not mention the victims' race and states that "The exact details of the attack remain unclear". So, whether or not it can be classed as a racist attack is presumably still open to conjecture. Also, the fact that the police are investigating and seeking information from potential witnesses indicates that it is not currently being "brushed over as a non-crime".

You can well believe that the victims were white, if they were black the report would have said, and as we all know Muslim Asian girls are not allowed out that late, so it is a racist attack on the white girls by Asian cowards, they were a gang of six Muslim Asians, that's definitely a typical six man girl attacking squad, for one white man they are usually a ten + man attacking squad, that's what they do where i live, these squad's are never attacks one on one, the lowest attack squad is two, that's for a severely handicapt wheelchair-bound white person, WAKE UP Britain your being laughed at, question the Police ask them why they cover Asian Attacks....this is not an isolated attack....

Women attacked, or anyone attacked, it's just wrong !
Gang thuggery has to be stamped out!
Isn't it time for some old traditional values to be engaged ?
We all should feel safe to walk our streets at anytime.
