Residents get together to clean up a much-loved nature reserve.
The flash mob clean up day, organised by Fabien Ho, of Coppermill Lane in Walthamstow, took place at Walthamstow Marshes on Saturday.
Rangers from Lee Valley Park and staff from Waltham Forest council waste management team were also on hand to collect beer bottles, drink cans and left-over disposable barbeques.
Mr Ho said: "I want to say a big thank you to everyone who came out and gave up a couple of hours of their Saturday morning.
"They are the awesome in 'Awesomestow' and I must say Coppermill Lane and Walthamstow Marsh have never looked so spotless.
"This initiative has helped put the area on the radar so that both the council and Lee Valley Regional Park Authority can now co-ordinate tackling the problem as a joined up team."
