A decision is set to be made today on whether a restaurant which has been the subject of noise complaints can extend its licence.
Bar Torino and Italian Restaurant, formerly Casanova Bar, in St James Street, Walthamstow, is looking to stay open, sell alcohol and stage live entertainment until 2.30am at weekends.
Waltham Forest Council has received repeated complaints about noise from the venue, which currently closes at midnight at weekends.
Council environmental health enforcement officer, Rockwell Charles, has said he is not satisfied the venue is suitable for live entertainment late at night.
