A Leytonstone supermarket is to have its licence reviewed after a joint investigation by Trading Standards and Her Majesty's Revenues and Customs.
SFW Express, in Church Lane, was served a notice last month under what is described as "licensing objective to prevent crime and disorder".
The notice, which can be seen on a lamppost outside the shop, states the investigation relates to “management exhibited by the business”.
Representations had to be made by May 7.
Staff at the shop refused to comment on the issue.
