A Leytonstone supermarket is to have its licence reviewed after a joint investigation by Trading Standards and Her Majesty's Revenues and Customs.

SFW Express, in Church Lane, was served a notice last month under what is described as "licensing objective to prevent crime and disorder".

The notice, which can be seen on a lamppost outside the shop, states the investigation relates to “management exhibited by the business”.

Representations had to be made by May 7.

Staff at the shop refused to comment on the issue.

These premises are a magnate for anti-social behaviour and have got away with it for years.

They sell single cigarettes and single strong cans of alcohol to the desperate, Ferals, beggars, vagabonds, rogues, desperado's and hooligans and often have underage kids hanging around outside stopping adults asking them to by booze and fags for them and get nasty if refused.

Many of the problem individuals aforementioned, spend there days in this vicinity as they know that any ill gotten gains can be easily spent on these premises as they often do not comply with the law.

If the owners cannot be bothered to comply with the regulations then they deserve to loose their licence.

Shame the paper did not publicise this until after the deadline inviting representations to the council on 7th May.
