The cause of a small flat fire is under investigation after five floors were affected by smoke.

The fire was in a refuse chute at a block of flats in Navestock Crescent, Woodford Green, on Saturday night.

A total of 21 firefighters attended the scene at 11.59pm and the fire was under control by 1.11am.

No one was injured.
