A special needs school is appealing for bands to perform at a music festival to raise money for new technology.

Oak View School, in Whitehills Road, Loughton, which teaches children aged three to 19 with severe and complex needs, is holding the festival on its playing field from 4pm to 10pm on June 27.

It is hoped the event will raise £6,000 for an OptiMusic Beam, an audio-visual system that is played by reacting with coloured light beams.
