A supermarket which was investigated by Trading Standards and HM Revenue and Customs will find out whether or not it will be allowed to keep its licence next month.

SFW Express in Church Lane Leytonstone will be at the centre of a licensing hearing on June 4.

SFW Express, in Church Lane, was served a notice last month under what is described as "licensing objective to prevent crime and disorder".

The notice, which can be seen on a lamppost outside the shop, states the investigation relates to “management exhibited by the business”.

The licensing committee will make a decision over the shop’s future at the Town Hall at 10am.

Staff at the shop refused to comment on the issue.
