The key to a long life is to “eat plenty and to have a little drink of sherry at night”, according to Gladys Mansfield, who turned 100 yesterday.
She celebrated the occassion with friends and family yesterday at Tallis House in Neal Court, Waltham Abbey.
When asked her proudest moments, she said: “Marrying my husband and having my son Allen.”
