Police have made a further two arrests in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Leyton man in Dagenham. 

Ashley Latty, 25, died of multiple stab wounds following an altercation between two groups outside The Beaver Centre in Selinas Lane, Dagenham, on May 18.

In the last 24 hours, a 25 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, and a 24 year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender. 

Both remain in custody at an east London police station.

Mr Latty was found by police at around 5:35am and was taken to an east London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:15am.

Two men have been charged with murder following their arrest on May 19.  

Nana Oppong, 33, of no fixed abode, and Adam Penny, 23, of Whitechapel, have been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on August 6. 

A 22 year-old man was arrested on Friday on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been bailed to a date in late June.

Three other males, aged 38, 31, and 29, have all been bailed pending further enquiries until early July.
