A midwife is due to face a misconduct hearing today accused of causing injury to a patient during labour.
Aaron Prince Narh worked on North Ward at Whipps Cross University Hospital in Leytonstone from November 2011 to June 2012.
In November 2011, Mr Narh is accused of delivering a baby incorrectly, by bringing the wrong shoulder out first and causing the mother to suffer a serious tear.
In 2012 he is alleged to have failed to review a heart monitor correctly.
It has also been alleged that Mr Narh increased a patient’s medicine dosage every 15 minutes when it should have been once every half hour.
He is also accused of failing to correctly document medication which he increased wrongly.
Mr Narh faces five claims of misconduct in total.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing is expected to conclude tomorrow.
