Families have taken part in a nature hunt in search of all types of bugs and insects.
The Big Bug Hunt, at Lloyd Park in Forest Road, Walthamstow, saw dozens of children scour the bushes, trees and grassland areas of the park as they captured slugs, bees, snails and millipedes.
Organised by The Conservation Volunteers, a charity that works in partnership with Waltham Forest Council, the free three-hour event then culminated in a practical workshop at the Aveling Centre Community Room.
Parents and children were tasked with creating 'minibeasts' using recycled materials.
