Police have charged a fourth person in connection with the murder of a Leyton man in Dagenham.

Ashley Latty, 25, died of multiple stab wounds following an altercation between two groups outside The Beaver Centre in Selinas Lane, Dagenham, on May 18.

Daniel Agyeman, 23,  of Thornton Heath was charged yesterday and will appear in custody at Highbury Magistrates Court today.

So far police have made nine arrests and charged three other people with the fatal stabbing.

Nana Oppong, 33, of no fixed abode, Kestrel Daniel Dyer, 25, of Barking, and 23 year-old Adam Penny of Whitechapel have been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on August 6. 

A 24 year-old woman and 22 year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and bailed until early July.

Three other males, aged 38, 31, and 29, have all been bailed pending further enquiries until early July.

Police were called to the scene at around 5:35am and Mr Latty was taken to an east London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:15am.
