Police investigating an attempted break-in at a jewellers have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to.
The incident, during which two men used a sledgehammer to try to break the window of Emson Haig in High Street, Loughton, happened on Saturday at around 3pm.
The break-in was unsuccessful and the men rode off on a moped.
Detectives have released a CCTV image of a customer they want to identify who was in the shop the day prior to the incident.
They stress the man may have no involvement in the incident, but they would like to identify and eliminate him from their enquiries.
