An unemployed man was given the shock of his life this morning when he took delivery of a brand new Porsche.
Andrew Boyce had been out in his old Ford Escort today when he returned to Oakland Road in Leyton to see the £53,000 car sat outside his house, along with an excited crowd of neighbours.
Mr Boyce won the top spec Boxster GTS and £10,000 after winning a 'spot the ball' competition at Westfield in Stratford.
He spent £250 on 50 tickets trying to take top prize.
The 52-year-old said that the first place he plans to take the care is on a drive to Southend, but he has no immediate plans for the cash.
“It’s exciting, I have never won anything before in my life,” he said.
“I would like to have a holiday, somewhere nice and hot. I think I would like to give some to a charity, too.”
