A man charged with stealing a charity box, engagement ring and money worth a combined total of £7,000 has been handed a date for crown court trial.
Duval Daly, 49, of Longcroft Drive in Waltham Cross is alleged to have stolen the items from Tony’s Pie & Mash Shop in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey on May 12.
Mr Daly was also charged with possession of 0.2g of Cocaine in Harlow.
After not entering a plea he has been bailed until a trial and case management hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on August 26.
