Homes in Waltham Forest are some of the most likely to be burgled in London, according to rent advisors.

This week, Metropolitan Police figures for burglary were analysed for all London boroughs by website Rentonomy.

They found more burglaries were reported in Croydon, Waltham Forest, Islington and Marylebone than anywhere else in London.

Croydon had the most break-ins, although all had three times more than the London average.

An ‘implied correlation’ between population density and burglaries was found during research.

The figures relate to the 12 month period between March 2013 and March 2014.

According to the end of year figures released for Waltham Forest, the number of burglaries in the borough has decreased.

But let's not forget the local police chief will announce that crime is falling, completely out of touch with reality and massaging the figures to get promoted to get away from the area.

I do not want to know, because I know it is not.

Anyone who believes it is falling wears Cranberry Tinted Spectacles and believes in Massaged Police Crime Figures.

Many crimes are falling (mostly due to CCTV, car security etc) but burglary and Rape are up - well up!

This is even with the police trying to massage the figures -

Only the most Naive would not see we had a problem. Some like Sticky seem happy with the victim count - but the rest of us will keep complaining!
