The final shortlist for a children's book award, voted for by pupils in a borough, have been announced.
The winner of the Redbridge Children's Book Award 2014, which was started in 2003, will be announced at Redbridge Town Hall, in High Road, Ilford on June 26.
This year's shortlisted authors include The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas writer John Boyne, and Angus Book Award winner Kevin Brooks.
Also shortlisted, for the award won in the past by Anthony Horrowitz and Suzanne Collins, are Sharon Gosling and Ali Sparkes.
Schools across the borough have been invited to the event, where they will have the opportunity to speak to the authors.
