Blood was said to have been splattered on the walls of a hotel after a late-night fight.

A guest at the Bell Hotel in High Road, Epping, reported seeing the blood, as well as used nitrous oxide canisters, balloons and a large bottle of vodka in a room being used by a group of young men involved in the disturbance on Sunday.

Police have not confirmed the details of the incident, but the guest, who did not want to be named, said officers arrived in the early hours of the morning following reports of a fight outside the hotel, which continued into the building.

Hotel receptionist Hardub Eel confirmed a television had been stolen, a window smashed and a sink damaged during the incident.

The guest said: “I heard people slamming doors, shouting and gong up and down the corridor. It was crazy.

“The room had been trashed and I could tell they had been smoking in there too.

“As I went for breakfast the next day there was a police car in the car park and I saw a man just in jeans and trainers getting into a taxi.”
