Cannabis plants were discovered by police after they were tipped off about two men acting suspiciously.
Police were called to Peacock Close in Chingford on June 4 at 11:30am after sightings of two men changing the number plate of a VW camper van.
The camper van had been stolen during a burglary in Kent on May 27.
Officers later searched a home address in Peacock Close and found 10 canabis plants growing in the garden.
A 53 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and being in possession of an offensive weapon, namely a lock knife.
The second suspect, a 45 year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and a 54-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
All three accused have been bailed to return to an east London police station at the end of June.
