Campaigning squatters hoping to transform a derelict grade II-listed pub into a community asset have planned a concert this weekend to drum up local support.
The Doctor Johnson Pub, in Longwood Gardens, Barkingside is at the heart of a three-year legal dispute between its owner and tenant.
Member of group Suspenses Property Guardians, Gee, 41, has organised the event involving musicians, bands and entertainers from the organisation on Sunday at 2pm.
The group are still hoping to strike a deal with the Colverton Properties to re-open the pub, but the landlord is in a long-running legal dispute with the tenant, Spirit Pub Company.
The squatters moved into the pub in May in an attempt to bring it back into use, but a week later voluntarily left after negotiations with the landlord.
