A school has hosted it’s very own football tournament to celebrate the start of the World Cup.
Epping St John’s students took to the school’s 3G pitch for a six-a-side tournament on Tuesday evening.
Teams from the different houses competed in Under 13 and Under 15 age groups and 120 players taking part in total.
Barker House won the Under 13 tournament and Wright House the Under 15s.
Higgins Group plc built the school which opened this year and provided bibs, refreshments, medals, trophies and kit bags for the winners
Headteacher George Yerosimou, said: “This year has been filled with memorable events at our brand new school.
“I was so pleased to see so many of our students, staff and parents coming together as a community to enjoy this event in glorious sunshine on one of our fantastic new facilities.”
