Police have issued a warning to the public over a suspected rogue trader offering to cut down bushes.
It comes after an elderly homeowner in Roydon was visited by a man who was acting suspiciously.
He visited the property and claimed to have been working next door trimming bushes.
He said some trees in their garden had to be cut because they were interfering with phone cables.
At the time of the call, a council plumber was working in the property and confronted him.
The man then became defensive and left.
He was described as 5ft 9ins, with a stocky build and tattoos.
He was driving a short open back truck with a green and white cab and a cage at the rear.
