A Wanstead woman celebrated her 100th birthday this weekend.
Laura Hayward, of Eagle Lodge in Snaresbrook Road, Wanstead, held a party to celebrate the occasion on Saturday afternoon.
She moved to Roding Lane North, Wanstead from Leytonstone in the 1970s, and on to Bedford Road, South Woodford, after her husband Percy died in 1979.
A self-confessed lover of bingo and socialising, she has now lived in Eagle Lodge for 14 years.
