Chingford Horticultural Society held the first of four shows planned for this year.

The event at Mornington Hall in The Green Walk, on Saturday featured members’ displays, stalls, refreshments and a raffle.

There was also an auction of produce donated by exhibitors and the society awarded prizes for the best displays.

Winners included Edna Wells for her Delphiniums, Alan Gillingwater for his sweet peas and show secretary, Lesley Smethurst, for her cut garden flowers.

The next show takes place on 19 July.
