A CCTV image of a burglar has been released by police in Waltham Forest.

The man is wanted in connection with an incident at Kings Hairstylists in King's Road, Chingford, on May 21 at 11:20am.

He entered the salon through the back door and stole a Kindle Fire tablet worth £135 as staff dealt with customers in the front of the shop.

It is the second time the hair salon has been targeted by burglars. On May 8, a man entered and stole a cash tin containing £10.

The CCTV image has been released to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.

Anyone with information should contact Waltham Forest police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Say what you will about the man but you've got to love those trousers. I feel sorry for the employee who lost their property at this salon, I usually go to the trendy German Barber - Herr Kut in Walthamstow Village. Beard trimming and Moustache Curling are his specialities
