The Conservatives have chosen a prospective parliamentary candidate for the Leyton & Wanstead constituency.

Matthew Scott, 29, will challenge Labour’s John Cryer at the general election next year.

He said: “It is an honour and privilege to have been selected as the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Leyton and Wanstead.

“I look forward to talking to local people during the weeks and months leading up to the General Election and spreading the positive news about the real achievements of Conservatives in Government.”

Why did you give up politics Morry? Did the sandwiches not agree?

They could have knocked you up an open sandwich on rye had you asked.

I be you looked the part in your Bry- Nylon shirt, twill slacks and Harris Tweed jacket and Shiny Tory tie, badges weighing down both lapels.

Yes - let's not get away from the story. Another clue-less posh boy parachuted in by Tory Central Office (he's from Bexley). Still the fact he doesn't wear a tie shows that he's 'ordinary' like us, and won't, in any way, kowtow to the City.
