Four fire engines and 21 firefighters from Chingford, Walthamstow and Woodford fire stations were called at 6.35am after staff at the school raised the alarm.

Thick smoke was spotted bellowing from the resources room, situated in the heart of school grounds.

The cause of fire is under investigation and the school is expected to resume as normal on Monday.
