Teachers have taken on pupils to raise money for a charity started by a former student.
Chigwell School’s year 11 boys’ football team won 4-3 against a staff team in a match which raised £500 for Smiles with Grace.
The charity, set up by Grace Boxall who died in September aged 15 after a long battle with cancer, donates funds to neurological surgical projects, Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Dream Factory.
Headmaster Michael Punt said: “It makes me very proud when I see pupils come together in this way, to organise an event like this for such a worthy cause.
"In her lifetime, Grace worked very hard to help others and it is very fitting that her friends should choose to support her charity in this way.”
