Jordan Horner from Walthamstow will spend two years in prison for attacking Shia Muslims in London
A radical Muslim convert has been sentenced to two years behind bars for an attack that has been described as the first case of Muslim sectarian violence in Britain.
Jordan Horner, 20, from Walthamstow, was handed the sentence at the Old Bailey on Friday after being found guilty of an attack on two men in London’s Edgware Road on May 10 last year.
Violence broke out at a protest led by radical preacher Anjem Choudary, who was calling for jihad in Syria.
Sunni Muslim Horner, who renamed himself Jamal Uddin, was reportedly involved in the attack on two Shia Muslims and will be sentenced with four others today.
Horner, who once called for Sharia Law, in Waltham Forest will serve his time in a young offenders’ institution.
