A nursery school which only opened just before Christmas has been lavished with praise by Ofsted inspectors.

Be Babies Kindergarten, in Fremantle Road, Barkingside received the score of ‘good’ despite only opening in November last year.

Ofsted published the report last week, which detailed how staff provide good quality teaching and help create a stimulating and safe environment for children.

The private nursery operates from the Barkingside Methodist Church Hall.

The report said: “Staff provide a warm, caring, welcoming, safe and stimulating environment where children are free to explore and use their imagination.

“The quality of teaching is good and staff follow children's lead to extend their learning.

“They have high expectations for the children in their care and are skilled at providing activities that effectively support their learning and progress.

“Children lead their own play and freely choose from the interesting age-appropriate activities set out, they are confident and happy at this nursery.”

The nursery employs six staff who look after 26 children from two to four-years-old with sessions held Monday to Friday from 9am until noon.

Owner Rizwana Yasin said: “I am very happy and very pleased at the score, it was really hard work and challenging to set up the business but it has been a rewarding experience.

“The nursery is really new and from the start we have received great feedback from parents, it is nice to see that Ofsted agree with their views.

“We are committed to providing safe, wholesome and nurturing educational experiences that support children to develop the strengths and skills necessary for them to construct their own knowledge and prepare them for their next school environment.”
