A lorry driver from Walthamstow has been charged with causing death by careless driving.
Barry Meyer, 52, of Aubrey Road is accused of causing the death of 54 year-old Alan Neve in High Holborn during the morning rush-hour on July 15.
Meyer was been charged with causing death by careless driving, a licence, offence, namely not possessing the correct licence for the HGV vehicle he was driving, and causing death whilst driving with no insurance.
Mr Neve of Poplar was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death sparked a wave of protests calling on the government to make cycling safer in London.
The 52 year-old has been bailed to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on August 5.
