Talented young musicians will battle it out later this month to win a place in the final rounds of an Essex-wide competition.
Instrumentalists and singers aged 25 and under were invited to enter the Essex Young Musician of the Year.
Semi-finalists will be whittled down to four finalists and an eventual winner during the event at Budworth Hall in High Street, Ongar, on July 6.
The semi-finals begin at 2pm with the final at 7.30pm.
The performances are assessed by a panel of five professional classical musicians and there are six prizes available for entrants of different ages with a total prize money pot of around £1,600.
The entrants include four pianists, three singers, clarinet, oboe, flute, trombone, violin and cello players.
To purchase tickets please call Janet Pope on 01763 248342, email administration@ongarmusicclub.org.uk or buy on the door for £7.
